Taking on new projects
Home About Services Work Insights Contact

These terms cover use of this website and the general basis on which Waxdale provides services. Individual projects are governed by the signed proposal or agreement for that project, which takes precedence over anything here.

Using this website

You may browse, read and share this site freely. You may not attempt to breach its security, submit automated or abusive traffic, or copy substantial portions of our written content and republish it as your own.

Scope of work

Every project starts with a written scope listing deliverables, timeline and price. Work outside that scope is quoted separately before it begins - we do not issue surprise invoices for unrequested work.

Payments

  • Fixed-scope projects are typically invoiced in milestones, starting with an advance.
  • Retainer services are invoiced monthly, in advance.
  • Payment terms are stated in each proposal; late payment may pause active work.

Intellectual property

On full payment, ownership of the custom code, designs and content created specifically for your project transfers to you. Third-party libraries, licensed assets and our own pre-existing internal tools remain under their respective licences and our ownership.

Client responsibilities

Projects depend on timely input: content, access credentials, approvals and feedback. Delays in these shift the timeline, and we will tell you when that happens rather than absorbing it silently and missing a date.

Third-party services

Many deliverables rely on external platforms - hosting, AI providers, advertising platforms, Amazon Seller Central and others. Their pricing, availability, policies and rate limits are outside our control, and changes they make may affect a delivered system. We will advise on alternatives when that happens.

Support and warranty

Each project includes a defined support window for fixing defects in what we built. New features, third-party platform changes and content updates after that window fall under a maintenance plan or a new quote.

Limitation of liability

Our liability for any claim connected to a project is limited to the fees paid for that project. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits or business interruption.

Ending an engagement

Retainers can be cancelled with 30 days written notice from either side. Fixed-scope projects can be ended early, with payment due for work completed to that point and handover of everything produced.
