Amazon rewards relevance and conversion. Your listing has to tell the algorithm what you are, and convince a human to buy - in the same breath.
Title. Primary keyword early, then brand, key attribute, size or quantity. Readable, not keyword soup. Amazon has become much better at penalising stuffing.
Images. Seven where possible. White-background hero, then scale, then in-use, then a benefits infographic, then size chart, then packaging. Most sellers stop at three and lose the sale there.
Bullets. Benefit first, feature second. "Stays cold for 24 hours - vacuum insulated stainless steel" beats the reverse ordering every time.
Backend keywords. 250 bytes, no repetition of the title, no competitor brands. Include misspellings and regional terms.
A+ content. Measurably lifts conversion. It also gives you space to answer the objections that generate returns.
Reviews. Enrol in Amazon Vine for new products. Never buy reviews - the account risk is not worth it.
PPC. Launch on exact-match for your core terms, harvest search-term reports weekly, and move winners into their own campaigns.
Run this checklist before launch, not after. Fixing a listing that has already accumulated poor conversion history is far harder than starting clean.
